Our Mission

Project Zamzam is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt notprofit organization dedicated to educating people about the Quran. Our primary focus is exploring the main themes, concepts and stories in the Holy Quran through animated videos, podcasts, and other digital content.

Our Story

Project Zamzam was founded with the intention of making the Quran more approachable for those who have a desire to better understand its message.

As a father of two children, Hani realized early on that he needed to teach his kids about Islam in a fun and interactive way. From this desire came the idea of Project Zamzam, which was a way to teach others, both adults & children, about Islam through short animated videos.

Realizing some challenges people might have, whether its the lack of understanding Arabic or having limited time to spend reading, we wanted to create short animated videos that would help explain the main themes and lessons throughout the Quran in a simple and fun way. We hope that our content will encourage people to explore the Quran in more detail and help them live a more fulfilling life.

Hani spent most of his upbringing in the Middle East where he learned the Arabic language and grew closer to his Muslim roots. He later came back to the US to finish high school and attend college. He graduated from NJIT with a degree in Computer Science. Afterwards, he pursued a career in banking where he worked closely with small businesses & nonprofits. Over time, he developed a passion for helping nonprofits achieve their goals.

At one point he left his corporate job and became the Executive Director for Dar al Islam. Their primary mission and focus was educating Americans about Islam. During his time there, he developed many relationships with Muslim scholars and leaders, and his passion for Islamic education began to take shape.
